A Natural Remedy for Cold Sores

  • Cold Sore Free Forever

I hate cold sores.  They are an embarrassing nuisance.  When I have a cold sore and am forced into conversation with people I will notice that they look at my mouth then quickly look away.  The rest of the conversation the person I am speaking with usually has their eyes darting around me in order to be “polite” and not stare at my cold sore.  Try not being self-conscious when people cannot even look at you because of a dumb cold sore.

When I first started looking for cold sore treatments I was little skeptical that I would find something that worked.  My inclination was to look for homeopathic remedies for cold sores as I felt my body would respond best to it.

And I have found one that has worked for me.  How do I know this cold sore “cure” has worked for me is simple – I have not had one in about 18 months and that is evidence enough.  My “cure” was a series of changes that I have made – sorry there is no magic pill.  I came across a program called Cold Sore Free Forever which seemed to be what I was looking for so I figured that it was worth a try because of its low cost.  Well, this program is a home run in my eyes and it has delivered for me (18 months and counting without a cold sore).  I think it would be unfair to the writer of Cold Sore Free Forever to disclose their method but it is simple to understand and easy to do and it works.

Seriously, if you are looking for cold sore cures then please at least read their sales page at Cold Sore Free Forever and see if may be something you are interested in.  There is no risk in purchasing as there is a sixty day money back guarantee – more than enough time to see if this natural cold sore remedy works.

Home Remedy For Cold Sores

My whole entire life I have suffered from cold sores and fever blisters, and I have tried a lot of over the counter cold sore and fever blister creams and ointments and a lot of home remedies. However, none of them really seemed to work well. A few months ago I had a cold sore coming on and I didn’t want it to become full blown if you know what I mean. I did some research online to see what herbs could help treat and prevent cold sore and fever blister and make a cold sore and fever blister mask to help get my cold sores and fever blisters to disappear fast without becoming full blown. Sure enough my homemade cold sore and fever blister herbal mask worked and prevented my cold sores and fever blisters from breaking out worse. Now I am going to share with all of you who suffer from these sores and blisters as well how to make this cold sore and fever blister herbal mask at home so you don’t have to suffer from them anymore either.

The herbs you will need to make my cold sore and fever blister herbal mask are ¼ a teaspoon each of pure organic herbal powder extracts such as Echinacea, goldenseal, comfrey, green tea, chamomile, feverfew, and ginger. The reason why I like to use these herbs to in my cold sore and fever blister herbal mask is because they have antiviral fighting compounds and antioxidants in them, and because they stop inflammation and redness.

The other ingredients you are going to need to make my homemade cold sore and fever blister herbal mask are 3 drops of peppermint oil, 2 tablespoons of lysine ointment, 2 drops of vitamin E oil, 2 drops of olive oil, and 1 drops of menthol oil. You can find all these ingredients in your local herbal store along with all the herbal powder extracts. The reason I use these ingredients is because lysine contains natural amino acids in them that help fight the virus that causes cold sores and fever blisters in the first place, vitamin E, helps soothe and protect the sore from scaring and becoming inflamed, and the oils help soothe away any tingling burning sensation caused by the cold sore and fever blister when they are about to breakout and become full blown.

The way you make the cold sore and fever blister herbal mask is by taking all of your ¼ teaspoon each of herbal powder extracts and dumping them into a small bowl. Next you take your 3 drops of peppermint oil, 2 tablespoons of lysine ointment, 2 drops of vitamin E oil, 2 drops of olive oil, and 1 drops of menthol oil and dump them into the small bowl as well. Now you simply combined all these natural ingredients together until your form a thick kind of gritty mask that is brownish in color and slightly oily and greasy. If you find the mask not thick enough just add some more herbal powder extracts to it to help thicken it up. If you find the mask is to thick add some more oils. Than all you do is simply place homemade cold sore and fever blister herbal mask into a small empty lip balm container until you need to use it.

The best way I find to use the cold sore and fever blister herbal mask is to take my fingertip and dip it into the mask. Then I like to apply a nice thick even layer over the area where the cold sore and fever blister are about to breakout. After I simply leave the mask on for an hour or two. I know that sounds like along time but it’s faster at treating and fighting off the cold sore and fever blister outbreaks than regular cold sore and fever blister treatments. I personally think its worth spending that amount of time with the mask on my cold sore and fever blister to help prevent it from becoming more red, noticeable, and inflamed. Once I have left the cold sore and fever blister herbal mask on for as long as I possibly can I simply wipe it off with a tissue and apply some plain lysine ointment to my sores to help treat them some more. I usually like to apply the mask twice a day, once in the morning and once at night to help prevent outbreaks. You however, can do it as many times as you need to.

I hope this helps some of you others out there who are suffering from cold sore and fever blister outbreaks as well. I know my homemade cold sore and fever blister herbal mask has helped me a great deal lately. I wish all of you the best of luck at treating and preventing your cold sore and fever blister outbreaks as well.
